ok, i thought i'd give it a go, but no chance of figuring it out cold, so this is to see if you can help (or be bothered, even).

I would simply like to change the way the mp3s are played. there is something called a Wimpy Button:

http://www.wimpyplayer.com/tutorials/wb_getting_started.html

The only difference from your method (new window with quicktime player) is that it is a button that appears next to the song title, and clicking it streams it without opening a new page. It is really simple and easy to make work, and i have done so. This is the html:

<OBJECT classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,47,0"
WIDTH="40" HEIGHT="40" id="wimpy_button_1" name="wimpy_button01">
<PARAM NAME=movie VALUE="wimpy_button.swf?theFile=http://youth-web.co.uk/music/4MyPeople.mp3">
<PARAM NAME=quality VALUE=high>
<PARAM NAME=wmode VALUE=transparent>
<EMBED src="wimpy_button.swf?theFile=http://youth-web.co.uk/music/4MyPeople.mp3" quality=high WIDTH="40" HEIGHT="40" NAME="wimpy_button01"
TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash" PLUGINSPAGE="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></EMBED>
</OBJECT>

How would I change your code to make the files open with this wimpy button? Is it easy to do? Could a simple explanation be posted here and i apply it?

The wimpy button has to be bought but it's only $20 and on an aesthetic tip i really like it.

ok, that's it. If not, then thanks anyway for making the module, it really is good.

All the best,

Jules
