Here is something that made me think a little bit about the fuel we use every day. Not just in our cars iether.

I was naive enough to think that if we ever ran out of gas and oil, we would all be riding bicycles to work. However, 100% of every thing we do, eat, and posess, (in this society) depends on gas and oil.

There was a news story on Dateline NBC that just aired (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12676374/).

They were talking about ethanol and how we could be independent of oil imports if we (the US) could do what Brazil has done.

There is also other alternatives in the works. If you haven't heard there is a growing group of people working on hydrogen power. Not the mega expensive liquid, but gas state. I have heard of groups in the transportation as well as electrical generation industries working on this form of fuel.

I personally have a friend that runs his gas pool heater, BBQ grill and a generator off his hydrogen generator.

Do a search for "hydrogen generator, water car, hydrogen car"

It's very interesting!

If I wasn't in the middle of some big home improvements I would be tinkering in the garage with this technology. anim_bounce.gif
