Today in Aviation History
1997
A Comair Embraer 120 Brasilia crashed while on approach to Detroit Metropolitan Airport. The crew was instructed to slow to 170 knots by Air Traffic Control and complied. This speed was below the stall speed of the aircraft in icing conditions, and the plane entered a spin and impacted the ground. All 29 on board were killed.

In case you missed it. The IBT for some reason recently thought they needed to give a little more attention to their Airline Division and started a website for them.

Now I wonder why they would do that? anim_thinking.gif

The address is:
http://www.teamsterairmechanics.org

Mostly all thats there is news and AMFA bashing.
