Today in Aviation History
1997
A Comair Embraer 120 Brasilia crashed while on approach to Detroit Metropolitan Airport. The crew was instructed to slow to 170 knots by Air Traffic Control and complied. This speed was below the stall speed of the aircraft in icing conditions, and the plane entered a spin and impacted the ground. All 29 on board were killed.

It sure will be nice to get this airline out of bankrupcy and get the 2 "DAVES" off of my back... Seems that it's never good enough !!! CONCESSIONS ! ,,, CONCESSIONS !,,, We need more CONCESSIONS ! ,,, Now, I realize the main problem is that no one is flying for whatever reason,, but this airline is using their "Bankrupcy Stick" for all it's worth...What is happening at U [and UAL] is going to affect the whole airline industry..People are starting to realize that there are other jobs out there that require a lot less responsibity and will actually pay more in money and benefits..OF COURSE I know that we are still in a recession, This is why the airlines will get away [for a while] with screwing over their work forces.. They just don't realize [or don't care] that people are just hanging on until the economy improves..This "management team" has no more excuses,, no more whining about labor costs !! ANYONE can run a airline into bankrupcy and use threats and intimidation [and the courts] to get what they want...Lets see if the "DAVES" can actually run a airline.. 2peace.gif

It's my observation that they always tend to take the easy way out and go after labor as the root of the problem, when it's usually THEIR PERFORMANCE iamwithstupid.gif that got the company in trouble.
Miss-management and not cost high labor.
