Was anyone personally at the meeting's Hoffa had at SWA? I had heard rumors it didn't go over very well!
Would someone like to fill us in on their account? _________________

Screw Hoffa He probably didn't even know there was an airline division of the IBT until Southwest talked about leaving . Now he is all concerned and wants to work with us Unfortunately I'm not convinced that AMFA is the answer either.......Fuck Hoffa anyway |

Yea, I think it's kinda shitty that now all the sudden the IBT cares and the big wigs are at attention when SWA is having a vote and CAL is probably going to be soon. Kinda shows you where the AMT's stand with them doesn't it? _________________

I think that all those who are watching their hopes for the future sold off are in a state rage that makes reason hard to hold. All sides must get a grip and a company thats wants to survive needs its workers. What made SWA strong was a respect for its workers and I for one would like to see reason prevail. If shareholders demand war on the workers they should understand that shareholders at all the the airlines that demanded war with the workers lost everything in BK11 and then whined (look at the stock BBS). how crazy is that?

That is how we felt at ATA when we dumped Teamsters and went with ALPA. I got tired of getting my monthly trucking magazine and nothing else for my monthly dues. Our Union supplied Rep/Lawyer did not know anything about airlines or airplanes.
Good Luck getting it figured out. _________________ Best Regards,
