I have two questions:
First, can anyone tell me how/what needs to be done to get/be a Continuos Airworthiness Maintenance Program? I work for a small but growing L-39 specialist company and we would like to start doing some of our own certifications. Since our aircraft are all experimental we have never had a need to be a certified repair station but at the rate we are growing that will change before long. Getting a repair station certification can take a while; according to the FAR's we can do some certifications by having/being a CAMP and from what I have read in the FAR, that may be something we are already doing or can do until we get fully certified.
Second, I have been an avionics tech for a very long time, alot of it in the military. But I have never been FAA certified. What benefits would I gain by being certified and if I did decide to do it, how is it done?
