G ne, but not forgotten; the (too) many airlines of yesteryear; remember them here.
I began as an Eastern Air Lines ramp serviceman in the 1960's, then obtained an AA degree and BS degree in aviation, and an FAA A&P, and FCC GROL license. Then I worked as a mechanic with Piedmont Airlines, USAir, and finally US Airways. My wife was an agent with Midway II.
My aviation experience is more with defunct airlines, than existing ones; as are too many former, and current, airline employees.
Recently I placed a "Gone But Not Forgotten" Eastern retired employees (non-retired former Eastern employees of all crafts and levels are welcome too) bumper sticker on my car.
Returning from the grocery; on the windshield was a real estate agent's business card with note: "Where did you get the bumper sticker?"
At his office I dropped off our retiree's excellent newspaper with pass privilege information for defunct airline employees, and much more. Like: where to get the bumper sticker.
When I get the next issue; I'll post more details for those interested. My wife would like to know; is there an organization, even just a website; for ex-Midway Airlines employees?
