Planedoctor.com - The Online Community for Aircraft Maintenance, is the vision of Tory Sims.

I searched the web for information and a site that was geared toward A&P's. I was looking for a community of A&P's that communicated and shared ideas and information about their jobs as well as lent stories and experiences about that industry to the general public.

I had been involved in a few communitys during the course of my Web Development hobby and saw a great need to unite the profession (A&P's) for two main reasons. One would be to promote the education to the general public about the safety of Aircraft and the great extent that A&P's and the Government goes to achieve this. Second would be to promote unity in the industry. I, personally am not a big union man, but feel my profession is lacking the unity that it needs to get the respect it deserves.

My experience in web development drove me to create this site. I have many ideas for promotion and traffic generating gimmicks, but I never want to discount the ideas the members have to help the site grow.

I will strive to provide current news related to industry, a properly working website, free no cost membership.

I will try to be neutral when expressing myself. I feel I must not allow this site to turn into a "bashing" site. There are many organizations that interact to make aviation safe. Unfortunately you cannot make all the people happy all the time, but picking fights is not something I want to promote. I want the users to freely express themselves, but I must remain the moderator.

Providing feedback and sharing your ideas with me about how to make the site better will do nothing but make it more enjoyable to others. No feedback means you like what you see and how it's displayed.

I hope you enjoy this site.

Tory Sims
