To be eligible for entry into the contest you, an AMT must have received an AMT Awards Program Certificate of Training for training that you received during 2007. You must have your application (The application that will be accepted is found in FAA Advisory Circular 65-25 D) to your local FAASTeam Program Manager (FPM) no later than January 31, 2008.
You may find your local FPM's name and contact information in the "Directory" located on FAASafety.gov.
Every year the AMT Advisory Committee works relentlessly to reward you for your participation in the FAA’s AMT Awards Program and this year they have outdone themselves with the prizes that you are eligible to win. I, personally would like to offer my sincere appreciation for their continued support of the FAA and the FAASTeam and in addition their additional support of you, the Aviation Maintenance Technician.
I would like to suggest that each of you show your appreciation by emailing the Chairman of the AMT Advisory Committee, Mr. Tom Hendershot and expressing your thanks for the job Tom and his committee do for you each year. You may email Tom at thendershot@amtsociety.org
The drawings for the winners of each prize will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, during the Aviation Industry Expo in Dallas, Texas. The prize winners will be notified by the AMT Advisory Committee or the prize sponsor as soon as possible following the drawings, so please make sure that you have the correct contact information entered on your AMT Award Application that you submit to your local FPM.
